Proxemis emerged from the strong partnership between The University of Oxford and EMIS, both of which have a rich history of supporting clinical research.​ Together, our collaborative efforts over the years have showcased the potential of combining research and data expertise.​ Established in 2003, our co-owned not-for-profit, QResearch is one of the world’s largest databases of primary care records used for anonymised healthcare research.​ This database was subsequently used in the development of the QCovid risk assessment tool to identify 1.5m vulnerable people during the pandemic, which won the prestigious John Perry Prize for computing innovation in primary care. Statistical design & analysis​ All the essential elements you need to initiate a successful clinical trial Starting with concept and feasibility analysis, our design package leverages EMIS point of care systems to assess numbers of eligible patients and (where appropriate) consultation on inclusion / exclusion criteria for your study. Following study design and protocol development by the world-renowned University of Oxford, this package will handle all regulatory authority applications, as well as the issuance of insurance policies.​ We’ll also take care of all your data needs – from the design and creation of electronic data collection and reporting forms to the deployment of the data capture system and statistical analysis.

Patient recruitment solutions​ EMIS point-of-care systems source quality candidates at speed and scale.

EXHALE 2 – A study to assess the effect of Dexpramipexole in adolescents and adults with severe eosinophilic asthma. This study went live on the EMIS Recruit platform in March 2023. The following figures provide an example of how this intuitive patient recruitment solution can aid clinical research in primary care.
