Surface information to pharmacists and patients at the point of dispensing

Using alerts within the ProScript Connect solution can enable you to reach pharmacists at the point of dispensing, providing additional information to support improved patient outcomes. This information can support dispensing pharmacists to make informed decisions for their patients, and patient facing alerts can be printed to provide additional support, with the option to include a QR code directing them to further resources. We’ll be able to share with you the representative statistics from our pharmacies, including how many times an alert has been viewed or printed, so that you can measure the impact of your campaign.

Inform in action ProScript Connect

Partnering with a global pharmaceutical company, we introduced a direct to patients campaign, initiated when one of their medications was dispensed in pharmacy. At this point, an alert was surfaced to the pharmacist within their ProScript Connect system, linking them to a resource that could be printed and handed to the patient. This included a QR code which allowed the patient to easily navigate to the organisation’s website for further guidance on their medication, with the aim of improving adherence and patient outcomes.

Over the 15 months we ran this campaign, we had approximately 700,000 alerts viewed within the system. This equated to 50% of all website traffic for the company during the campaign period.

Working together we can create bespoke templates and questionnaires which allow pharmacists to capture information from patients during service delivery. We’ll report on this anonymised data, enabling you to assess adherence preferences and medication usage to build understanding and improve patient outcomes.

PharmOutcomes is a flexible, secure web-based service management tool that supports data entry for pharmacists when delivering locally and nationally commissioned services such as flu vaccines or minor illness consultations. Known also as Outcomes4Health, this tool was the solution of choice in primary care and mass vaccination centres for recording Covid-19 vaccinations.

Medications Assistant is already used by over 1.6 million patients, providing tailored information and guidance based on their medications and health conditions. Delivering an unsponsored menopause campaign via our Medications Assistant functionality within Patient Access, we aimed to raise awareness and support those on hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Across a 12-month period, we delivered a monthly article through our platform to those patients whose Electronic Health Record (EHR) showed they were prescribed HRT.

Within the first month, we recorded over 100,000 opened emails, equating to 71% engagement from our target audience. Across the year, we recorded an average open rate of 57% for all articles in the campaign.

Surface clinical content to patients via our market leading website and app

Hosted via patient.info and integrated with our EMIS Web and ProScript Connect clinical systems, we also offer Patient Information Leaflets (PILs). These leaflets provide up to date, accurate information about a condition or a medicine, authored by written and peer reviewed by GPs/pharmacists that can be easily printed or emailed to patients. Similarly, we offer Professional Leaflets aimed at clinicians to support care delivery, written by doctors and aligned with national guidance. Partnering with us on our Patient platform can enable you to place sponsored articles, editorials and videos, as well as clinically authored information leaflets to support health outcomes. We’ll provide reporting on page views and click through rates, as well as detailed stats on any information leaflets such as the number of times they have been searched for, read, printed and emailed.
